Department of Innovative Mechanical and Electronic Engineering
Combining mechanical and electronic engineering to achieve the most advanced manufacturing
Without electricity, neither household electrical appliances nor the factories that produce them could operate. Even though mechanical and electrical engineering are closely related, the development of products has up until now taken place in separate fields. However, this makes it difficult to flexibly meet the diverse needs of society or to more rapidly develop new products. In order to produce new ideas that will lead this mechatronics society, we need professionals who understand and have skills dealing with both machines and electronics. In the Department of Innovative Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, we aim to train technicians who can help create these new values by helping them turn what they learn in lectures on mechanical and electronic engineering into practical knowledge through student-centered problem-solving group seminars.
