Shibazono Campus
The Shibazono Campus is sited next to Makuhari Shintoshin, a well-known high-technology center that comprises Makuhari Messe and many research laboratories of high-technology industries located on the eastern waterfront of Tokyo Bay.
Completed in 1986, the Shibazono Campus has intelligent buildings, including the No.1 CIT assembly hall, the nine-story No. 2 human and natural science research building and the No. 6 library building housing 400,000 books. Energy conservation is also promoted by introducing computer-controlled air conditioning and lighting, solar power generation, and rainwater recycling.
The area also features landscaped gardens to provide a relaxing space for students.
No. 12 Building was completed in March 2008 and contains various facilities to promote the health and welfare of students, including an observation lounge and a training gym.
