The Graduate School of Information and Computer Science offers education and research opportunities to further enhance expertise in information science and communication abilities for an increasingly globalized and information-oriented society. The school’s master’s program is designed to produce engineers and researchers with highly professional expertise that is useful in the industrial world, not limited to the information-processing arena of business. The doctoral program is designed to produce researchers who have the most advanced knowledge and skills in information science and are able to be leaders in pursuing pioneering academic research.

Master’s Program and Doctoral Program in Information and Computer Science
Based on studies at the undergraduate Department of Computer Science and the Department of Information and Network Science, this graduate school supplies students with advanced education and research opportunities in such technical and applied fields as acoustic information processing, image processing, parallel processing, digital communications, database, artificial intelligence, robotics, distributed processing, mobile communication, and advanced traffic information systems. The Master’s Program offers curriculums that develop quality engineers in every subject field, whereas the Doctoral Program aims to produce creative individuals who can cultivate new technologies and disciplines. In addition, another feature of this graduate school is active participation and collaboration in joint research projects on state-of-the-art technologies with other universities, research institutes, corporations, and foreign research organizations.
